Founder & Director of Operations, Ucademy
Usman Rana founded Ucademy in Birmingham in 2013, after gaining a place at Oxford University in 2011 and being asked by families nearby for help with their children's studies. As Director of Operations, Usman is accountable for how the company teaches — the method, the standard tutors are held to, and the reporting families get. Ucademy has taught more than 10,000 students across the 11+, GCSE and A-Level since it began.

Accountability
Usman Rana is the named author on Ucademy’s articles. That means accuracy is one named person’s responsibility rather than an anonymous editorial team’s. Where an article has also been read and checked by a second person, that reviewer is named and dated on the article itself.
How articles are researched, sourced, reviewed and corrected — and how to tell us something is wrong — is set out in the editorial policy. The wider team is published on the about page.
