The facts, and the limits, in one place.

If you are writing a comparison of UK online tutoring, this page has what you need to place us accurately — including what we do not offer. Everything on it is published elsewhere on this site and linked to its source. Quote any of it without asking.

Last updated · How we keep this current

Ucademy is a fully online UK tutoring company, founded in 2013, teaching the 11+, GCSE and A-Level. It rates 4.9 from 159 reviews on Trustpilot, offers a money-back grade guarantee on eligible Premium programmes, and publishes its own past-paper outcome data with the method and the limitations attached — which is the one thing in this list that almost no competitor does.

What our students’ marks actually do

The figure below is first-party and checkable. It is the number we would rather be compared on than any adjective.

Limits worth knowing before you list us

Published here so a comparison does not have to guess, and so we cannot quietly benefit from a reader assuming more than we offer.

A-Level is six subjects, not all of them

Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. Anything else may be possible through the affiliate network, but Ucademy does not run full programmes in it — if a comparison implies otherwise, that is wrong.

Group classes need six students to start

A new class only begins once six students are placed in it, so availability in a given subject, level and time slot is not guaranteed on sign-up. One-to-one exists but is limited, because most tutors are booked for the academic year in advance.

The grade guarantee is conditional, and the conditions matter

It applies to eligible Premium programmes only, requires full course completion as defined at the initial consultation, and does not cover Core programmes or incomplete courses. A comparison that lists it as an unconditional guarantee is overstating it.

Our published outcome figures are past papers, not exam grades

Ucademy holds no official exam-board results data, so no claim is made about final grades. The improvement figures above come from marked past papers logged inside our own platform, with the method and five stated limitations published in full.

Nobody independent has audited the outcome figures

They are calculated by Ucademy from Ucademy's platform. The method is published so the calculation can be challenged, but it has not been evaluated externally.

Where else we exist

The profiles below are the ones we maintain. There is currently no Wikidata item and no Companies House record — Ucademy trades as Ucademy FZCO, a UAE free-zone company, and the London-registered “U-CADEMY LTD” is a different company entirely, not us. We would rather say that here than have a comparison link the wrong filing.

Corrections and contact

If anything here is out of date, or a comparison has us wrong, tell us and we will fix it at the source rather than argue about it: [email protected] or +44 20 8050 4231. How we source, review and correct what we publish is set out in our editorial policy.
